Tate Landscaping Services, Inc. is located in scenic Highlands, North Carolina. Our company has been serving the Highlands-Cashiers area for nearly 20 years. Our solid reputation has been built upon the unique vision of our designs, the quality of our installations, and the talent and knowledge of our staff. Tate Landscaping Services, Inc. employs over fifty individuals who each contribute his or her own expertise in areas such as: landscape design, landscape installation management, maintenance management, site grading, water feature design, and turf and pesticides management.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Owner/Operator James P. Tate (Jimmy) is a North Carolina Registered Landscape Contractor and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Jimmy began his work experience with the family nursery business, Tate’s Nursery, as a teenager. Desiring to apply his degree to his local plant knowledge, Jimmy opened Tate Landscaping Services, Inc. in 2002 and is proud of the solid reputation he and his employees have built within the Highlands-Cashiers area. Jimmy serves his community not only as a landscape specialist but also as an active member of Highlands Rotary and Chairman of the Macon County Board of County Commissioners.

Paul Corbin is a graduate of Western Carolina University and a life long resident in Macon County. Paul currently serves as our Maintenance Manager and has been with Tate Landscaping Services since 2003. Paul has been an integral part of our company’s success and growth over the past two decades. He has also been heavily involved with servicing his community as a dedicated fire chief on the plateau for several years.

Landscape & Sales Manager Matt Mason is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in landscape architecture. Matt has been with Tate’s since 2016 and is a long time resident of Macon County. Before coming aboard Tate’s, Matt served as Macon County’s Soil & Water conservation manager. Matt has been a great addition to the team with his extensive knowledge of soil and water conservation which is critically important in preserving our beautiful mountains.

Horticulture & Training Manager David Crisp is a graduate of NC State University with a degree in Turf Science and over 15 years experience  in turf & ornamental care. David has been with Tate’s since 2016 and has been making waves in Highlands as one of the best horticulturists in WNC. David is a North Carolina Certified Turfgrass professional and also a member of the North Carolina Turfgrass Council.

Account & Sales Manager Codie Couch is a graduate of Georgia Colleg and has been with Tate’s since 2017. Codie moved to the Highlands area from Gainesville, GA where he had his own successful landscape operation for several years. Codie has been a great addition and asset to our company with his experience in both commercial and residential landscape management. 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Office Manager Sammie Leffler has been with Tate’s since 2010 and is the main wheel that keeps our company’s day to day operations flowing. Sammie is a wiz with handling numbers and clients having been in the accounting industry for several years and has been the glue holding our company together through periods of growth and change.
